There are worlds within worlds in Second Life, and while some choose to take to the air as dragons or dive deep underwater to live as merfolk, others in Second Life recreate reality and explore phenomenon that may play a tangential role in our daily lives but fascinate us nonetheless – as we discovered on the latest episode of Designing Worlds, when we set out to discover the fascinating world of civil aviation – now available on the web.
We meet some of those involved in the world of civil aviation – MarkTwain White, owner of the extremely popular Hollywood Airport – an airport that is busier than LAX (Los Angeles’ main airport); Ereck Gregan, the owner and designer of EG aircraft which produces – among many others – the iconic Concorde; and Howdy Coulter, owner and designer of CoulterCraft and the proprietor of Colter Air – an airline with a complete system of pre-flight checks – including re-fuelling and loading baggage!

It’s a fascinating and beautiful programme – don’t miss it!
And many thanks to Cybere Placebo of Archachon who provided some awesome simultaneous translation for us!
