It’s Valentine’s Day next week and we’re inviting you to join us at 2pm SLT today, Monday 6th February, for a special repeat of last year’s Valentine’s episode of Designing Worlds at our studio in Garden of Dreams when we meet three couples who are behind some of the best loved brands in Second Life – and who have taken their Second Life partnerships into real life.
Each of the three couples have crossed continents or oceans to be with each other in real life, and they’ve all been together since around 2007 – that’s getting on for ten years!
We talk to Shai Delacroix of Casa del Shai and Kris Lehmann of Botanical, to Lyyric Fei and Maxwell Graf of Ristica, and to Bastchild Lotus and Paul Lapointe of Lapointe and Bastchild. They share their stories with us – funny, moving and exciting by turns – and sometimes with touches of frustration with officialdom too!
It’s a show that reveals the real people behind the avatars, and it’s also a powerful demonstration of how our virtual world impacts on our lives away from the screen.
It makes for a fascinating show that you won’t want to miss!
