The Spoonful of Sugar Festival opens at 9am today – in support of Doctors without Borders – the international charity perhaps better known in Europe as Médecins Sans Frontières.

The Spoonful of Sugar Festival takes place on five regions – Spoonful of Sugar and the four SOS Shopping regions – you’ll find links to all the key locations here. There are over 150 stores, selling clothes, hair, jewellery – and a really great range of home and garden items.
In addition, there’s a gacha orchard, a series of auctions and a large number of raffles (including items such as a 5,000 Linden Truth giftcard). And there’s also the Raffle House, a beautiful, fully furnished New England style home (and a gazebo), filled with donated items donated by many of Second Life’s top home decor creators. And one lucky person will win this with a L$100 raffle ticket!

There’s also a full programme of events, including musicians, dance shows and fashion shows – you can see the full schedule here.
The whole area takes place in a beautiful New England Fall setting, with a riotous display of colour, and the stores around in neat village squares. It all makes for a beautiful event experience.

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare.
