Designing Worlds is awed by installations at the Linden Association for the Arts (LEA)

Join us at 2pm SLT today, Monday 21st May, for the new episode of Designing Worlds at our studio in Garden of Dreams in Second Life, as we visit a really stunning range of installations at the Linden Endowment for the Arts (LEA).

We talk to Fakey Jewell and Dorian Cao of the Jewell Theatre, who take us on a guided tour of their installation, Snow, on LEA 25, who don’t just tell us about the production they will be hosting and the real life issues that lie behind the play, but also take us to see various projects about Second Life Theatre that they are running here – and introduce us the the world of the story of Snow!

Then Saffia meets Solkide Auer at his installation, The Cave on on LEA19, while Elrik explores The Philosophy of Furniture by Daark Gothly, Mazie Halpern and Cienega Soon on LEA 18. And Saffia takes a stroll through Ediola on LEA24, created by Livio Korobase with Footnotes by Arts Oluja – a really fascinating study of visions and ways of seeing. Finally, they visit Unititled on LEA28, created by Storm Septimus, another monumental and stunning installation, this time about the nature of pain.

In addition, Wildstar Beaumont explored three further installations to create a truly wonderful slideshow for this episode: Demiurge & Sapiens by Gem Priez on LEA29; Seductions by Lorys & Alo on LEA 23; and Entropy V – Diabolus Juvante by NaTaS Janus on LEA 21.

And if you have been inspired by what you have seen at the LEA and would like to apply for a six month grant of a region of your own, check out the application form here: http://lea-sl.org/form/lea-air-land-grant-application-round-fifteen
