A Visit to the Galaxy

prim_perfect_cabin The other day, I popped over to the fabulous three sim-long cruise liner, the Galaxy, which, of course, will be our Sim of the month for June. I wanted to see how the cabin was coming along – the cabin that will, of course, be our star prize in the June issue (due out on June 10th). And I have to say it’s looking absolutely fabulous – although I’m afraid the interior is strictly under wraps until the magazine comes out!

However, in the shot to the left, you can see the exterior of the two decks that the cabin will occupy – complete with some lovely deck furniture.

While I was visiting the ship, I took the opportunity to explore. The Galaxy, after all, if a really fantastic piece of design, and as more and more places are constructed (such as the Bridge), it not only remains a fascinating place to visit, but the sense of it taking on life as a ship is vivid as well.

prim_perfect_lifeboats For example, even though this ship might dare to share the boast of another great liner that she is “unsinkable, absolutely unsinkable”, the team building the Galaxy have taken the precaution of seeing that there’s an adequate supply of life boats, should they ever have to abandon ship. More than adequate – they could take the maximum number of passengers expected three times over!

And close up, these lifeboats are impressively big – as you can see here. But then, of course, the Galaxy is a cruise liner to gasp at – and you’ll be able to see more in the edition of Prim Perfect due out this weekend.
