Prim Perfect Jigsaw: The Flying Tigers

Today’s jigsaw comes from Designing World’s recent visit to the Flying Tigers, a group which re-created Second World War aerial battles in Second Life.

They are based around the environment and experiences of a group of flyers in China and Burma in the early days of World War 2, before the United States entered the war, when the group of military pilots and ground crew had quasi-legal status in fighting against the Japanese.

It’s a fascinating story, but the Flying Tigers do far more than just create battles (although that’s an exciting part of their remit!). They also run a flying school that trains everyone from total beginners to skilled flyers looking to hone their skills as stunt pilots.  It also hosts amazing events – such as the recent Air Military Tattoo, and the World War 2 Conference it is planning later this month.
