This weekend there are more Cake Against Cancer events!
Cakes are also still available from the Prim Perfect Head Offices in Sund until Monday 8th October. And you can relax and enjoy them in our special pop-up cafe – with seating for full sized visitors and small folk too (because we know that they love cake).
And don’t miss two other venues hosting events …
Last week’s Bake Sale hosted by the SLCS (Second Life Cheerleading Squad) was postponed, so instead, this weekend they will be hosting their 2nd Annual bake sale, with 2000L in prizes divided between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners!
Proceeds will go fully to Macmillan Cancer Support, the wonderful charity that gives aid and comfort to cancer patients and there families throughout the UK. Last year the cheerleaders raised almost 20K Linden for this wonderful Charity.
If you’d like to enter the contest, send your favorite cake recipe to LisaTredwell inworld – along with a picture of the finished cake!
They will place sandwich boards out in the SL Cheerleading Squad’s all-new Stadium with the cake names and pictures, and when someone donates to YOUR signboard, they will receive a notecard with your real life recipe!
The winners will be selected based on the top three selling cakes. The contest will run from 12th of October to the 15th and winners will be announced Monday the 31st.
And even if you don’t bake a cake of your own, make sure you go to the SL Cheerleading Squad’s all-new Stadium (it’s well worth seeing!) to vote for YOUR favourite cake!

And there are also fantastic events this weekend at C&V’s House of Rock in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
This is their message:
We have something special for Saturday … the events will be fun as usual but during the events we are participating in Cake Against Cancer (the virtual world version of Macmillan’s Cancer Support). You will be able to purchase Second Life cakes with real life cake recipes in them! The cakes will cost 50l each and the proceeds from the cake purchases will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.
I don’t know of a person who has not been touched by cancer in some way.
5-7 pm SLT Oldies with DJ Jammer and Host Chuck
Join DJ Jammer and Host Chuck for a night of the good old tunes of rock n roll. Endearing tunes that everyone remembers either because we lived with them, or because your parents listened to them, or because you hear them in the movies. DJ Jammer is dedicating his set to his mom who died after her battle with cancer …. Host Chuck’s mom also died after her battle with cancer.
7-9 pm SLT Cavemen/women Mud Wrestling with DJ Flip and Host Chuck
Ready to get down and dirty? Who’s ready to prove they are the best mud wrestler in SL? C&Vs House of Rock is pleased to present our first Mud Wrestling Tournament!
Our tournament board is now ready for you to register. It’s available at the C&V main landing spot. Come on down and get your name on the board. Pre-registration is not required but there are limited slots.
Oh! and prizes for the top 3 contestants!
1st place $500L
2nd place $250L
3rd place $100L
Who will reign supreme and take the first title of C&V Mud Wrestling Champion?

Macmillan Cancer Support is the UK’s leading charity offering support for people with cancer and the Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event, where they ask people across the UK to hold a coffee morning and raise money for people living with cancer.
