Designing Worlds plays one from the Archives – exploring the social history of Arkansas

Join us at 2pm SLT today, Monday 8th October for Designing Worlds at our studio in Garden of Dreams in Second Life, as we revisit a popular show from the past.

This wasn’t meant to happen … but unfortunately, we had a major technical issue (Saffia’s headset died) and we weren’t able to film.

But we have a great few shows coming up …

October 15th – Halloween Places
October 22nd – Is Original Mesh a Big Deal?
October 29th – A Ghostly Halloween Tale – with a special story by Judith Cullen

So for today … we invite you to explore Arkansas Heritage – a show from back in 2011 which explored a fascinating series of builds created by Painter Meriman for Arkansas State University.

We explored a really fascinating social history project, learning not only about Johnny Cash’s boyhood home, but also about the New Deal community of Dyess and the Southern Tenant Farmers Union (which now houses the Southern Tenant Famers Museum).

You can join our viewing party in our studio on Garden of Dreams, or watch it at home!
