We have a lovely site at the Second Life 17th Birthday celebrations!
Designed by Briony Writer and Dawny Daviau, it has key features of the LitFest to introduce newcomers to what the Literary Festival at Fantasy Faire consists of and hopefully some injokes for regular LitFest visitors to enjoy!
So you’ll find a desert setting inspired by this year’s Faireland region where we made our home – the Drifts of Anamnesis. There are the posters that tell the story behind the Tales of 1,001 Nights, celebrating our special “author” this year, Scheherazade. You’ll find a reading (or open mic) circle, and the book table, packed with books by authors who came to this year’s LitFest, including our special guest author, Fran Wilde, and other volumes relevant to the theme of the LitFest.

There’s also information about the LitFest Tours and the Company of Faire Folk who will be starting off-season tours over the summer. And you can see again the glorious posters created by Alia Baroque for different aspects of the Festival.
And, of course, there’s Hugh, our beloved mascot, the reading troll. There’s information about his back story and how, in much larger form, he was the troll who fell in love with a good tale and was turned to stone.

There’s also a place where you can tell US about your favourite holiday reading – as long as it’s a fantasy novel, of course!
