At 12 noon SLT today, the Second Life 11th Birthday Community Celebration will open – and the occasion will be formally marked – as it was last year, by the raising of the flags.
The flagpoles are bare now but, a little after noon, they will be raised to fly proudly over the Community Celebration and signify that the event is in progress.
This year it has been decided to raise the flags at 12.30 pm SLT, to give everyone the opportunity to attend the flag raising.
There are three sets of flags this year – and twelve different locations to watch them from.
